It was a slow few weeks with the holiday’s arrival. Things have begun to pick up again and start moving. Because of family I will still be doing half-time development and focusing on FiveM until after January 6. The *hope* is to have RedM online roughly one week after that date to begin public testing. I would love to be able to do more, but I am indeed only one guy.

FiveM

  • Removed all Christmas decorations and snow effects
  • Fixed issue with automatic database backup
  • Installed email server and configured status email for database backups
  • New prison added — some of the door locks are installed, but not all. This area will still go unused until development is complete.
  • Mechanics can now open the F6 menu while off-duty
  • New City Hall location
  • Fixed bug with door lock systems that could arise if the vehicle plate had opening or trailing spaces
  • Fixed issue with vehicle engines turning on and off when using the mouse wheel
  • Added ability for government vehicles to be locked, unlocked, and started by government employees
  • Added helipad on top of new government building (helipad is visually scaled which makes it’s physical hitbox wonky, but it works fine)
  • Added Binocular item (buy at convenience stores, drag to USE button)
  • Added police helicopter camera (Press E while in the police or ems helicopter, right-click to cycle through vision modes, mouse wheel to zoom in and out)
  • Added police helicopter spotlight
  • Police can no longer open their action menu while in a vehicle
  • EMS can no longer open their action menu while in a vehicle
  • Mechanics can no longer open their action menu while in a vehicle
  • Diamonds have been removed from the Vangelico robbery — any diamonds you already have can be kept as a souveneir or thrown on the ground to despawn them — if you are a miner you can sell them on your next delivery
  • At least one police officer is required to be on duty for Vangelico to be robbed
  • The cases at Vangelico will reset again after 2 hours of the last one being broken
  • Fixed Vangelico server-side recursion issue
  • Increased the horizontal range of the /SIT command by a factor of two
  • Added man-down priority alerts to all emergency personnel radios. This system is automated and will send calls when any EMS, Police, or Government personnel are killed.
  • Fixed issues (again) with female arms when sentences to community service
  • Removed /TWT command — added text notification and Twitter notification sound
  • Added South West Beach garage
  • Lowered chance to notify cops to 20% when selling drugs
  • The weather should be a little more dynamic now with shorter rain and storm but longer clear durations.
  • Collapsed Performance Dealership, PDM, and Mechanic roles into a single “swappable” job. Motorcycles will be consumed into either the domestic or foreign dealership based on country of manufacture.
  • Renamed the Performance Shop to Luxury dealer
  • Added the Ferrari Italia 468 to Luxury dealer
  • Added Lykan Hypersport to Luxury dealer
  • Fixed lightbar on Police Peel P-50
  • Added civilian Peel P-50
  • Moved motorcycles from Motorcycle Dealer to corresponding domestic (PDM) and import (Luxury) dealer
  • Lowered range of keyfob for locking doors from 25.0 to 3.0
  • Added demo cars to Luxury dealer
  • Upgraded server from Dual-core CPU to Quad-core CPU
  • Upgraded server from 4 gigs of RAM to 8 gigs of RAM
  • Upgraded server from 80gig SSD to 160gig SSD, at some point to make use of the extra space we will need to reinstall
  • Lowered muscle car damage multiplier from 1.0 to 0.75
  • Developed custom lock system for garage doors at Luxury auto — this should keep people from stealing the vehicles in the showroom
  • The police Charger now has slightly lower acceleration values (as with any vehicle value, this may be tweaked further after some more testing)
  • The police Charger is much less prone to flipping over during a turn
  • The police Charger has a higher end top-speed
  • The police Charger’s power distribution is much more centered than it was previously
  • Emergency vehicles now contain GPS tracking devices — updates every 30 seconds — will give a very rough approximation of where the vehicles were within the past 30 seconds
  • Removed extra automatic restarts
  • Put lock on MRPD parking lot entrance
  • Put lock on Cells 1, 2, 3, and 4 at MRPD
  • Put lock on interview, server, and storage rooms at MRPD.
  • Moved Helicopter camera key to Z — should be used by passenger, not the pilot
  • Added tracking spotlight to police heli and government drone – will remain locked even when the camera is disabled, the camera will not remain locked currently
  • Helicopter camera can cycle through vision modes with right-click
  • Added networked spotlight brightness on SHIFT-mousewheel
  • Added networked spotlight radius on CTRL-mousewheel
  • Call system now pops up to new calls when a call is received (police, ems, taxi, mechanics, car dealers)
  • Reduced all map icon sizes to 0.75 (down from 1.0+, depending on the icon)
  • Upped forward/backward/left/right sit range
  • Resolved issues with some vehicles being named NULL (no matter what we did to try and address it)
  • Water will now deplete itself much faster than food
  • Moved mechanic harvest and crafting rings to a place that they are invisible. They are no longer needed.
  • If your vehicle is more than 1.5 meters from the ground you can no longer toggle it off. Fixes issues with camera-equipped helicopters.
  • Moved mechanic turn-in ring to actual impound yard
  • Moved mechanic salvage ring to scrapyard (near the chopping ring)

We are having some type of issue with FiveM right now. I am also having issues tracking down what is going on because of the way the FiveM profiler works (long and technical, so I won’t bother explaining). Some resource is eating the server alive after something happens (I can’t be more specific with that, because I don’t know what is causing it). To help alleviate the issues it is causing, we have scheduled restarts every four hours currently. Once we think this is resolved we will go back to two scheduled restarts per 24 hour period for testing. *LIKELY FIXED*

It also came to my attention last night when I decided to “check” that the automatic database backups were *NOT* occurring so I am looking into why the scheduled job is not triggering. I manually triggered it and will continue to manually trigger it a few times a day until it is fixed. I have made changes to the scheduled task that will hopefully get it working. I am just waiting for it to try and watching it 🙂 *FIXED*

RedM

There will not be any new RedM development until January the 6th. I hope to have the server up roughly one-week after that time to begin public testing.
